RULES

By registering for the Marathon International inDeauville, the participant acknowledges and accepts without reserve the present regulations in all their provisions.

 

ARTICLE 1 – ORGANIZERS

 

The Marathon International inDeauville is a sporting event organized by the Association SPORTS ET LOISIRS EN NORMANDIE, law 1901, N° SIRET 847 963 808 00013, domiciled at 8, chemin Montessard, 14600 Pennedepie and SAS MIID, N° SIREN 908 870 504, domiciled at Bowling de Touques, rue de la Vallée d'Auge, 14800 Touques. (here inafter, "the Organizer" or "the Organization").

 

ARTICLE 2 - THE TESTS

 

The Marathon International in Deauville offers the following events to choose from:

 

  • Marathon (timed event) – FFA labeled event

  • Marathon in relay of 2 (timed event)

  • Marathon in relay of 4 (timed event)

  • Half-Marathon (timed event) – FFA labeled event

  • 10 KM (timed event) - FFA labeled event

  • La Deauvillaise 5KM - walkers or runners (timed or not at the participant's choice)

  • The Deauvi'Kids (900m race reserved for children aged 7 to 12 - untimed event, without classification))

 

Hereafter (the “Events”)

The days and times of departure and the routes of the Events can be consulted on the website www.marathondeauville.fr

The routes may be modified at the Organizer's discretion until the day of the event. The routes of the Marathon, Half-marathon, 10KM and Deauvillaise (5KM) are measured according to the standards in force and comply with the federal and international regulations for road races (FFA and IAAF).

The start of the Marathon (and Marathon relay) will be given on Sunday November 20, 2022 at 9:45 a.m.*

The start of the Half-Marathon will be given on Sunday November 20, 2022 at 8.15 a.m.*

The start of the 10KM will be given on Saturday November 19, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.*

The start of the Deauvillaise will be given on Saturday November 19, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.*

The start of the Deauvi'Kids will be given on Saturday November 19 at 2:00 p.m.*

 

Handisport starts will be given 15&' before each Event

 

The Marathon, Relay Marathon and Half-Marathon Events will end at 3:30 p.m.: participants who have not crossed the finish line by 3:30 p.m. will not be classified.

The course of each of the Events can be viewed on the Marathon International inDeauville website:www.marathondeauville.fr.

 

The routes may be modified at the Organizer's discretion until the day of the event.

The routes of the Marathon, Half-marathon, 10KM and Deauvillaise (5KM) are measured according to the standards in force and comply with the federal and international regulations for road races (FFA and IAAF).

 

 

 

ARTICLE 3 – PARTICIPANTS

 

  • The Marathon is open to all runners, men and women, licensed or not, from the Espoirs category (20 years minimum on the day of the Event).

 

  • The Marathon in relay of 2 is open to all runners, men and women, licensed or not, from the Junior category (18 years old minimum on the day of the Event)

 

  • The Marathon in relay of 4 is open to all runners, men and women, licensed or not, from the Cadets category (16 years old minimum on the day of the Event)

 

  • The Half-Marathon is open to all runners, men and women, licensed or not, from the Junior category (18 years minimum on the day of the Event).

 

  • The 10KM (timed) is open to all runners, men and women, licensed or not, from the Cadets category (16 years old minimum on the day of the Event)

 

  • The Deauvillaise 5KM (timed) is open to all runners, men and women, licensed or not, from the Minimum category (14 years old minimum on the day of the Event)

 

  • The Deauvillaise 5KM (not timed) is open to all runners, men and women, licensed or not, without age limit.

 

  • The Deauvi'Kids (not timed) is open to children aged 7 to 12.

Walkers are not accepted on all of these events, except for the timed 5 km. 

For minors, parental authorization is mandatory (see attached model): by accepting these rules, and by registering the minor child, the holders of parental authority automatically accept the attached parental authorization. Any reservations must be made by email to liza@marathondeauville.fr (the registration of the minor child will only be validated in this case after the Organization has accepted the reservations in writing)

 

Registrations are personal, firm and final and cannot be postponed or refunded, even partially, except for participants who have subscribed to the "reimbursement guarantee"(see art.9).

Any person who returns his bib to a third person will be disqualified and held responsible in the event of an accident occurring or caused by the latter during the event, the Organization declining all responsibility in this case.

Participants have a maximum time of 5h30 to complete the Marathon course and 3h00 to complete the Half-Marathon course. A time barrier of half of these times is provided for halfway through. If this time barrier is exceeded, the Clerk of the Course may unilaterally decide to disqualify the participant at any time after this time barrier has been passed and his decision will be final. The participant must then return his bib and his chip to the Clerk of the Course. Any participant who decides to continue the event will do so under his full responsibility and the Organizer's liability will be released in the event of an accident. 

 

ARTICLE 4 - REGISTRATION TERMS

 

  1.  Registrations

 

Online registration only until November 13, 2022*:

 

No registration by mail, telephone or email will be taken into account.

 

*In order to guarantee optimal safety conditions for participants, the Organization reserves the right to close registrations at any time before this date, and in particular in the event that the maximum quota of registered runners has been reached.

 

Athletes qualified by the FFA wishing to participate in the 2022 French Marathon Championships must send an email to France.marathon@athle.fr

  • Marathon in relay of 4:

    • 105€ until February 28, 2022

    • €110 per team until June 30, 2022

    • €112 per team from July 1, 2022

  • Half-marathon:

    • €30 until February 28, 2022

    • €32 until June 30, 2022

    • €35 from July 1, 2022 ​

      • -10% for FFA licensees

  • ​10KM:

    • €16 until February 28, 2022

    • €17 until June 30, 2022

    • €19 from July 1, 2022 ​

      • -10% for FFA licensees

  • The Deauvillaise 5KM:

    • €15 until February 28, 2022 ​

    • €16 until June 30, 2022

    • €18 from July 1, 2022 ​

  • 5km timed:

    • €16 until February 28, 2022

    • €17 until June 30, 2022

    • €19 from July 1, 2022

  • La Deauvi’kids (900m):

    • 2€ (fully donated to the associations we support) *

These registration fees include, for each participant, two bottles of water

Persons with reduced mobility wishing to register in the disabled sport category benefit, as well as their accompanying person (within the limit of one accompanying person per registered disabled person) from a 50% reduction on the amounts mentioned above.

 

Options:

 

  • Money-back guarantee: €6 (see art. 9)

  • Sending the bib by post: €12 (see art.6)

  • Personalized medal: €8 (personalized plate with surname / first name / chrono, to be affixed to his medal sent within approximately 3 weeks after the Event)

  • Results by text: 1€

 

4.3 Mandatory documents to be registered on the Klikego site no later than November 13, 2022 (except "sending of bib at home", cf art.6):

  • sports license Athlé Compétition, Athlé Entreprise, Athlé running, or a "Pass' I like to run"; issued by the French Athletics Federation and completed by the doctor, valid on the date of the event bearing a certificate of the issuance of a medical certificate mentioning the absence of contraindications to competitive athletics

 

  • or a sports license issued by one of the following federations, valid on the date of the event, on which is mentioned "the non-contraindication to the practice of athletics in competition"; or the non contraindication to the practice of running in competition”:

 

  • Federation of Defense Clubs (FCD)

  • French Federation of Adapted Sports (FFSA)

  • French Handisport Federation (FFH)

  • National Police Sports Federation (FSPN)

  • Sports Federation of ASPTT

  • Sports and Cultural Federation of France (FSCF)

  • Sports and Gymnastics Federation of Labor (FSGT)

  • French Union of Secular Works of Physical Education (UFOLEP)

 

  • or for non-licensees: medical certificatementioning obligatorily "the non-contraindication to the practice of running in competition" or "the non-contraindication to the practice of athletics in competition" or "the non-contraindication to the practice of sport in competition" less than one year old from the date of the competition, or a copy thereof. No other document can be accepted to attest to the possession of the medical certificate.

 

Crossed out or illegible certificates will not be accepted.

 

Foreign participants are required to provide a medical certificate, written in French or translated, of the absence of any contraindication to the practice of running in competition, even if they hold a license issued by a federation affiliated with the IAAF.

 

The medical certificate or the license are not necessary for the registration to the Deauvillaise (5KM not timed only) and to the Deauvi'Kids.

 

  • The registration of a minor child implies the automatic acceptance of these rules andof the parental authorization which is attached as an appendix.

 

Registration will be effective upon receipt of payment and the documents referred to above, subject to their validation by the Organiser.

 

The participant who has not provided the required elements will not be able to withdraw his bib or be reimbursed for his registration.

 

An identity document will be required for the withdrawal of the bib.

 

ARTICLE 5- COLLECTION OF BIB NUMBERS

 

The collection of bibs will take place in the Race Village, at the address, on the days and times indicated on the Organization's website www.marathondeauville.fr

No bib can be issued in the absence of registration of the elements referred to in 4.3

 

Attention: If necessary, a valid health document in accordance with government requirements on the day of the Race, must be presented to collect your bib. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the registration conditions according to the evolution of the health situation. Unreadable QR codes will be refused.

ARTICLE 6 – SENDING NUMBERS TO HOME

 

 

Participants in the Half-Marathon and Marathon can subscribe to the "home bib delivery" option until October 12, 2022 or any other earlier date decided by the Organizer due to shipping constraints.

No home delivery for participants in the 5km, Deauvillaise and 10km. 

Bibs will be sent to participants approximately 2 weeks before the date of the event to the name and address indicated on the site at the time of registration.

 

Participants who have subscribed to this option must have completed their file before October 9, 2022 at the latest (download of the license / medical certificate) to receive their bib: cf mandatory documents art.4.3 above)

If required by the government, a valid health document must be uploaded on the Klikego platform or sent by email toliza@marathondeauville.frbefore October 9, 2022: only documents with readable QR Code and mention of the complete vaccination schedule will be accepted.

Failing this, participants will have to pick up their bib at the place and dates mentioned in article 5 above and the option will not be refunded to them.

 

ARTICLE 7 – DISABLED SPORTS

 

The event is open to disabled runners, in accordance with the regulations of the French disabled sports federation.

The visually impaired must be accompanied by a guide who must be identified as such (registration "guide"; or chasuble).

 

A “handisport” classification, separate from the general classification, will be established by the Organiser.

 

The Organization accepts the participation of Joëlettes with their pushers within the limit of 5 Joëlettes over all the Events. Any team wishing to register a Joëlette is invited to contact the Organizer by writing toeric@marathondeauville.fr.

 

ARTICLE 8 - LIABILITY - INSURANCE

 

The Organizer is covered in civil liability by an insurance policy guaranteeing the facts of the members of the Organization as well as those of the participants.

 

Each participant is reminded of the benefit of taking out individual accident insurance covering the bodily injury to which their sporting practice may expose them.

 

The Organizer declines all responsibility in the event of damage (theft, breakage, loss, etc.) suffered by participants'; personal property, even if it is in their custody. Participants cannot therefore turn against the Organizer for any damage caused to their property or equipment. Taking out insurance covering these risks is everyone's responsibility.

 

ARTICLE 9 - REIMBURSEMENT GUARANTEE

 

An optional reimbursement guarantee in the amount of €6 per registration is offered to participants allowing them to cancel and reimburse their registration, under the conditions defined below.

 

The guarantee can only be activated in the event of illness, injury, family death, professional transfer. Cancellation of the Race by the Organizer is not covered by this reimbursement guarantee.

 

In the event of activation of this reimbursement guarantee, 80% of the amount of the registration and options (excluding the amount of the reimbursement guarantee and bank transaction costs) will be reimbursed to the participant.

The "home bib delivery"; option will only be reimbursed if the reimbursement request reaches the Organizer no later than October 9, 2022.

 

To be admissible, refund requests must be sent by email to the following address:liza@marathondeauville.fr, accompanied by an authentic medical certificate or justification, no later than November 15, 2022.

 

ARTICLE 10 - JURY/ TIMEKEEPING

 

The official Race Jury is made up of a referee and 2 official timekeepers appointed by the Organiser, and whose decision-making powers are final.

 

The timing of the Marathon, Marathon relay, Half-marathon, 10KM and timed Deauvillaise events is provided by the company BREIZH CHRONO. Each participant will be given an electronic chip which will be initialized on the starting line. The time of each competitor will therefore be a real time, and not a time counted from the start of the Event.

 

A competitor who does not respect the route of the Event will be automatically disqualified.

 

ARTICLE 11 – PREMIUMS

ARTICLE 12 - SECURITY / GENERAL SERVICES

 

Security: The security of the Events is taken care of by the Organiser: the route is protected by flagmen and the police.

Bicycles, wheeled and/or motorized vehicles are strictly prohibited on the course.

 

Medical service: A medical service consisting of at least one doctor and teams of first aiders will be available at the finish area. Mobile units are also provided if necessary on the course.

The rescue teams may decide to disqualify a competitor for health reasons. This decision will be without appeal.

 

Participants are invited to fill in the back of the bib with their surname and first name, emergency telephone number, and must clearly indicate any possible medical problem (allergies, special care, treatments, etc.) as well as their blood type.

 

Anti-doping control: An anti-doping control may take place unexpectedly at the Events. Each participant undertakes to respect the doping ban and the provisions put in place by the Organizer for anti-doping control.

 

Bibs: For all the Events, the bib provided by the Organizer must be worn throughout the race, attached to the front of the jersey with 4 pins and fully legible and visible under penalty of disqualification.

 

Bibs are non-transferable, and it is forbidden to duplicate them, to hide them in whole or in part and/or to cut them up.

 

ARTICLE 13 - REFRESHMENTS

 

Refueling is planned approximately every 5km as well as at the finish.

 

Individual supplies are authorized at the locations provided by the Organization, only for the "Elite" categories but under the total responsibility of the runner (routing, distribution, recovery).

 

Alcoholic beverages or any doping beverages are strictly prohibited on the course as well as in the start and finish areas.

 

ARTICLE 14 - IMAGE RIGHTS

 

By participating, each competitor expressly authorizes the Organizer or any natural or legal persons he has designated to use or cause to be used, reproduce or cause to be reproduced his name, his image, and/or his voice with a view to any direct or in derivative form of the event, on any medium, worldwide, by any means known or unknown to date, and for the entire duration of protection currently granted by legislative or regulatory provisions, court decisions and /or arbitration of any country as well as by current or future international conventions, including for any extensions that may be made to this duration.

 

ARTICLE 15 – CNIL

 

In accordance with the Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, entrants have the right to access and rectify personal data concerning them and are informed that their results may be published on the Event website. If they wish to oppose the publication of their results, participants must expressly inform the Organizer at the following address:eric@marathondeauville.fr.

 

ARTICLE 16 - CANCELLATION / MODIFICATION

 

In the event of force majeure, natural disaster, prefectural decree or any other administrative decision, including health restrictions related to COVID, or any other circumstance that the Organizer considers, in particular, to endanger the safety of competitors , the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the event or to modify its routes, or to make any changes necessary for its smooth running or the conditions of registration or participation of runners. In these cases, no refund of registration fees, even partial, can be made, nor compensation received, even if the registration was made before the modifications by the Organiser.

However, if the race were to be canceled due to COVID 19 (cancellation imposed or decided by the Organizer as a precautionary measure), or if gauges were to be imposed as a result, registrants would then be offered a postponement to the one of the next 5 editions, at the participant's choice.

PARENTAL AUTHORIZATION 6 DISCLAIMER

The registration of minor children implies acceptance of these general conditions and validates this parental authorization. 

I authorize my minor child (surname / first name / date of birth / address indicated in the registration form), to participate in one of the following events:

- Marathon relay at 4

- 10km

- La Deauvillaise 5km not timed

- The Deauvi'Kids

of the Marathon International In Deauville on November 19 or 20, 2022.

I declare that my child is in good health and fit to participate in the race. 

I hereby release the Organizer from all liability for injury and/or material and/or bodily damage suffered or caused by my child, including in the event of theft or damage to his property, on the occasion of his participation and waives all lawsuits or claims of any nature whatsoever against the Organizer in this regard.

I declare that I have taken out all insurance relating to his participation, and in particular a Civil Liability insurance, guaranteeing against all accidents and/or damage suffered by my child or caused to third parties by his doing. Said insurance must include an express waiver of recourse against the Organiser. 

I expressly authorize the Organizer or any natural or legal persons it has designated to use or cause to be used, reproduce or cause to be reproduced the name, image, voice and sports performance of my child with a view to any direct exploitation or in the form derived from the event and this, on any medium, worldwide, by any means known or unknown to date, and for the entire duration of protection currently granted to these direct or derived uses by legislative or regulatory provisions, judicial and/or arbitral decisions of any country as well as by current or future international conventions, including for any extensions that may be made to this duration.
